Thread regarding Dynegy Inc. layoffs

The company's proposal wasn't what I would have wanted but I was ready to live with it. I voted yes so I can live to fight another day, but I was voted down by others. That's democracy and I won't complain. I will continue to support the union and the strike and I won't cross as some here have suggested. However, reality is reality and I have a family to feed and bills to pay. Some guys have spouses making decent incomes but others are the sole bread-winners, so situations are different. I hope the union considers the situations of everyone and not take a hardline approach. I wish the union leadership would do a better job communicating their next moves because guys are anxious and it's sad that some had to result to this blog to find the outcome of the vote considering you have emails of most the union members. I'm all for fighting and standing up for our rights, but let's fight with strategy and call a truce when we need to. I doubt the next vote will go the same as the last one did. UNION STRONG!!
