Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

I have a meeting scheduled with my director, president, regional, and corporate human resources. My director has been awful and is trying to get me fired but he has done some bad things such as saying ageist remarks etc. and so I went to human resources awhile ago about that and now I think he is retaliating. The other day I was going onto my company laptop at work and I was adding to my document saved there that was named "letter to human resources" and here I could not get onto it because it was opened elsewhere and it said it was opened by IT dept. I know this is legal but it was very creepy and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and whether my director has authority to be able to go on my computer like that. Thanks!
