Heald College is in meltdown mode

Heald College is in meltdown mode. The results are in for the first week of the two week phone-a-thon to lure in the suckers, get warm bodies, etc. into the seats. It is not working. Some of the phrases used by the sales people (oops admissions) are "We can't close the sale", "We can't sell the A.A. program to the A.A.S. graduates", "One of the prospectives relatives got on the phone and said : Where is my promised job?", etc. The enrollments for the upcoming quarter are going to be 20% less than October 2011. The sales people will be laid off in mass AFTER the 2nd week of the quarter. The phone-a-thons will be over and sales people are a dime a dozen. A new batch of newbie sales people will be hired around the first of January to find some new suckers for the January 2013 quarter. The faculty will be bombarded (not sure of what the program will be called) a new program of "The faculty service the salespeople, administration and above all the student", The faculty will report to administration on an almost daily basis (that is already happening for some) on student retention. "Special attention" for bodies (e.g. students) means "pass everybody". Faculty will report to salespeople on the steps being taken to make sure that everybody passes.
