Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

@The truth. Sorry, I never had a business (e.g. faculty position) over at Heald College aka Heald High aka Heald had it yesterday aka Heal with a D, etc. I have had the interesting (perhaps unfortunate) experience of evaluating Heald College graduates for entry level IT positions (always rejected mostly because of general incompetence but also given the extremely grim IT job prospects on the relative grounds that better and experienced candidates are in abundant supply). With regards to the business graduates, Heald graduates are woefully inferior compared to the public community college let alone the CSU graduates. My basic thesis is that "Heald is beyond saving". Most Heald instructors (given the woefully pittance regarding compensation) are going "beyond the call of duty" with regards to instruction. Of course, when your student body consists of those mostly listening to Maury Povich TV commercials, then it is hardly too much to say that the intellectual quality of the students is poor. The simple fact of the matter is that dissatisfied customers of a product in this case being Heald graduates that can't find jobs go out and TELL prospective customers being potential Heald students regarding their POOR student learning outcomes. Heald has been going downhill for DECADES but the last 2 years being from 2010 onward after CCI bought Heald has been an ABSOLUTE DISASTER. Not an absolute disaster from the viewpoint of immediate rewards being a substantial growth in student enrollment but an absolute disaster in at best vastly diminishing and at worst destroying Heald's reputation. The phrase "Heald Diploma Mill" is often heard throughout Northern California. The Heald salespeople that I know have told me that is the worse that they have seen with regards to "closing the sale". Of course, the administration doesn't want to hear the fact that it is simply more difficult to sell the product and blame it ALL on the salesperson for not making sales, the faculty not giving "special attention" (e.g. pass everybody).
