They need to focus on which Enrollment Advisors create revenue and who sit's there and just collects a paycheck. This should go for Enrollment Managers, Directors and others who essentially don't provide any value to the Student Experience. We'll need employees for Apollo Group corporate, but we don't need a Enrollment Manager for every 6 Enrollment Advisors. We also don't need an Enrollment Director for every 3-4 Enrollment Managers too. These employees are collecting 100k+ checks and rarely interact with any student.
Secondly, all departments should be reviewed on how they spend their money. There's too many pet projects at UOP that consistently go over-budget. I've heard that SSP was developed by Outsell and cost over $40 million dollars when it was created and trained to advisors. Honestly, I don't know how they can spend $40 million dollars on SSP when it's just a revised MAPPS or RASPHOR.
I'm afraid of what's going to happen to Apollo Group. I thought that it was a company I could work for and retire but the way things are, I doubt I'll see another year or two before I get laid off simply because Apollo Group wants to squeeze more dollars in profit. If they take care of their employees, then their employees will take care of them. Give them better health benefits, give them Overtime, give them flexible schedules and opportunity for growth. The students will get taken care of.
