Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Can't you see all the smoke screens and distractions that they try to establish as turning the corner or differentiators. Remember the "big" commercial that was going to be the difference? Having other companies let us use their name in our commercial. Turns out those other companies just wanted some free name dropping (and now probably regret it). Remember career progression? How it was going to get everybody to the next level and so forth. Hell....I've seen people laid off who went through it and got promoted. The truth is that all the initiatives you see coming out are there to just distract you. Make you think that they care and are trying....but they are not. There are set plans in motion that cannot be stopped. There are systems being built out for Enrollment, Academics, and Finance that will cut the staff in half....even if the number of students increase. They don't need the bodies when there will be automated systems to do the work. When a student can schedule their own class, bye-bye AC. When a student can get their own financial apps done and have a better tracking system, bye-bye FA. The worst part is they send out emails telling you what they are doing and then lie and say we will still be needed.
