What the article confirms is that sales for the second quarter were up 2%, but profits were down - in other words, the costs of running the business are high. Call it bloat, blame it on inefficiency, too many managers, employees not working hard enough, whatever, it points to CSW needing to improve operational effectiveness so they can produce goods and services at a profit. The chickens have come home to roost. The years of being dumb, fat, and happy are over. There is competition and intense price pressure in the marketplace for the goods and services which CSW used to have a monopoly over. The days of sole source CDL are gone. If you want to try and fix it by learning how to work smarter, stay, but that will require change in how you do your job. If you want to to hold onto the old ways, you'd better start looking for a new job, because your old job won't be there very much longer.
