Layoff age stats for Software Engineers. Ages 60-69 = 50.0% (11 kept and 11 RIFed); 50-59 = 17.3% (62 kept and 13 RIFed); 40-49 = 13.6% (38 kept and 6 RIFed); 30-39 = 9.7% (65 kept and 7 RIFed); 20-29 = 6.3% (44 kept and 3 RIFed). Question - should I sign the separation agreement giving up my right to sue and collect my 8 weeks pay (10-20 years of service)and move on? Normally I'm pro-business so am ignorant about age discrimination. I welcome honest feedback.
