They should just offer a blanket severance and see if there are any takers, aka single people who can relocate or people just wanting a change to a different company. That would help solve some of the general headcount reduction. At 5 years, give me a 401k and stock full vest and 6months severance and I would be gone, I am single and willing to relocate if need be where some of the people with kids can continue to put food on the table for their families.
