People think they can sue for anything and that part is true. But winning a lawsuit is a WHOLE other thing. OK is proudly a right to work state and there aren't many rules for severance in a layoff. But certainly a company is allowed to have a layoff. Employes are entitled to very little. Anything beyond the standard two weeks of severance is entirely at the company's discretion. Sue all day long if it makes you feel better but it will cost you - in dollars and energy. You'll be wasting both. Why not find gratitude for anything you get, buck-up and go find another, maybe better job.
