Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

One of the worst and unprofessional companies I’ve ever had the chance of working with. Dell treats it's employees like garbage. If they even think you are not doing your job, you are gone in no time - no layoff here, FIRING. They do not care about resources, you are disposable to the management just like any tool they have. They only hire people who have GED’s or a high school diploma yet many company positions require certification which you must attain within 45 days of being hired (might be 60 days, not sure). If you do get considered you will be probably interviewed by someone with less skills, experience and knowledge then you and lacking any type of advanced education. These people have no interest in real IT workers, only in slaves who have formerly worked at the retail or manufacturing who do not like any competition in their workplace. Being fired or laid-off is a constant worry, former employees come and go all the time. People get let go while on vacation or in training, and that happens often. Dell may be the reason why some federal services are substandard, as they have one of the largest contracts in this area. Unless you enjoy poorly built computers, basd customer service, and being poorly managed on a daily basis stay far away from Dell or it's subsidiaries. This is what happens when your company grows too large and is not properly managed. AND REMEMBER: LAYOFFS WILL CONTINUE AT DELL - THEY NEVER STOP!!!
