GE said layoffs are coming to the Greenville facility.

In a written statement by GE, it was said that the company is looking at ways to reduce the cost across the global Power & Water Business in order to "retain our competitiveness in a tough marketplace". OUCH!!! Now listen to this: "GE said the layoffs will impact 2 percent of its total global workforce." ONLY 2%!!! You got to be kidding me!!!!

Let's Continue: A GE executive said the layoffs at the Greenville facility, which they say is about 100 people, will not impact hourly manufacturing workers.

GE said for employees impacted, the company will provide severance and "outplacement assistance" or help them seek other opportunities within the company.

GE said the reductions in jobs will occur sometime between now and the end of the year - good luck to all and GOD BLESS.
