Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

I heard they are holding onto the VRIF/VSO people until the same day there will be involuntary separations. Having volunteers makes the whole messy job easier on HR... basically, if they accepted your VSO application then you were on the list to be axed anyway. Your manager will still say "Good luck out there, we're really going to miss you" but won't shake your hand, for obvious reasons.
