Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Do you guys have any idea whats so ever why the VSO acceptance was so low? Well i will tell you. The reason it was so low is because managers told individuals under them "not to worry about it their job isn't on the layoff list". I have spoken to employees and have confirmed 17 cases across 5 departments where this was a deciding factor the VSO wasn't taken. L3 will have to offer at-least as good or better severance to those they layoff in the future, the managers that told employees that they were basically safe. Regardless if it was authorized or not ensured matching or better severance. However being a real insider L3 only offered the VSO is because they are restructuring and only want those loyal and willing to ride out the storm to remain after the upcoming purge. So to those who took the VSO good luck, to those who were told they were basically safe, you have to come forward if you get laid off without a severance matching the VSO. To the rest of us L3 employees look on the bright side soon all those who make our working environment hell are about to be gone. For me i know im safe.
