Very Sad when I read through all the unrelated comments on this site and it confirms that through the nepotism and favoritism trends of hiring, L3 is made up mostly of morons. I have been with L3 for many years and can see that the downfall of the company cannot be blamed on Obama, sequestration or the economy. The blame falls directly on ourselves as we promote incompetence, laziness and corruption instead of talent and integrity. CADRE seems to promote those that look the other way as the company rapes the government out of millions of dollars through waste and corruption and even better than looking the other way is a mini skirt and an empty head. Just attempt to make a suggestion for improvement toward efficiency and money saving and you will get your teeth kicked in by management and HR. I am very sad to have seen another round of folks told not to return to work because L3 overspent money and time on Encompass that was obviously developed by a bunch of egotistical idiots that only listened to themselves and failed to do any real world testing. Another example of a management team disconnected from reality. Top management dumps their holdings in the company as fast as regulations will allow while sending updates to the sheep headed to slaughter that everything is great? I am very sad to see a company like L3 that has so much patriotic potential being squandered by misfit children that expect a paycheck without any effort. Requirements for promotion are 1. Family 2. LDS or not LDS depending on your manager's cultural affiliation and 3. Demonstrate a willingness to look the other way when things are glaringly corrupt.
I am glad that I will get a small severance to move on and can only hope that the job market is not as messed up as L3 has been over the past few years. If so, we are all in for a rough recovery!
