If a large group, they will bring everyone in to a conference room and announce that some separations will happen. Then they tell you to go to your office and wait. Those who aren't being laid off usually know so they can rest easy. Smaller groups they usually come in individually. Of course who knows how they will do it in the future. It is a new world under new management. Almost definitely for the better of the company. Unfortunately it may suck for us.
