Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

They aren't moving the company to Pasco

They aren't moving the company to Pasco. Yes, there are plans filed and yes there have been discussions. There was a story previous to the one posted below where Pasco was angry that RJ was backing out / not moving forward as promised on the land deal in Wiregrass. To keep the peace and any tax incentives promised to them, RJ was forced to submit a plan with details showing they were moving forward. So yes, the story posted below is true --> there are details on specific buildings and land allotments, etc. This does not mean that they are planning to move everything there any time soon, or even at all. The bigger the plans, the less headache they get from Pasco County and the more leverage they have in negotiations with their current property. So yes, it looks huge and looks like it's all moving out there. It was just a way to buy more time. The topic of Wiregrass came up originally as it relates to business continuity. Originally, the things migrating to Colorado were slated to Wiregrass. That's obviously not the case now. Moving Operations there did seem to be a reasonable expectation, but that was before we acquired office space in Memphis. If they were planning to move IT to Wiregrass, why are they moving the core components to Colorado? In the end, I don't think you'll see any of the critical BUSINESS facing/money making components move from St. Pete. The buildings they have are flashy, have all the art work, and look really nice to visiting FAs and clients.
