Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I got laid off in March

I was laid off as of April 1. I had worked at FHEG for ten years. I kind of feel good about it now though, as I feel I was forced to switch careers and get away from a company (possibly an entire industry) in the process of collapse. I was given 3 months of severance and a vacation payout. My regional manager said nothing to me during the call with HR except "I have to make another call." At the very end. He is a coward. During my time at FHEG I watched as people who had received "final warnings" for sexually harassing college students received promotions. I watched employees who created fake email accounts to trick faculty into giving them information (they pretended to be a parent of a student in the class) were allowed to keep their jobs. VPs give away thousands of dollars of merchandise to their athletic cronies while students making minimum wage have their hours cut. This company is sinking and I'm pretty happy to be off the boat.
