Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Yeah, Guy, it makes perfect sense for the people in command of the L-3 ship to fire an assload of people to get some green numbers, then start hiring again. The employees of this company are considered by those at the top to be pawns in their game. Many other major defense sub-contractor companies exist that don't play with people's lives so frivolously as this entity. If they don't give a damn about their own employees' welfare to start, is this what makes them valuable in some sick fashion to the government???
