We eliminated thousands of jobs - mostly in corporate but the stores got hit too. regional folks too, overall it was brutal during the down turn, now things look a little bit better for Walmart but we do have our own issues. We have many failed IT projects we have many technologies that do not work as expected. There is quite a bit of fat in the corporate office and i would not be surprised if we were to see many positions cut in the future.
