As someone that was laid off, I find it highly irritating that people that still have a job and their insurance paid for feel the need to come on here and bitch and whine about not having their raises or bonuses yet. Isn't this a site about layoffs and not a "Wah, Dougy hasn't changed my diaper and given me my lollipop" site?
GROW THE F@&$ UP! You have a job and a biweekly paycheck. You aren't having to dip into your savings to pay for your mortgage, bills, insurance... You aren't spending all your time worried and trying to find a decent job in order to support yourself because a company decided to restructure and lay off good hard working people that wouldn't be acting like the crybabies you are if they were lucky enough to have been one of the ones spared.
Up at the top of the page, it says "Layoff Discussion Board". If you don't have something intelligent to contribute about actual layoffs, stocks, anything of actual importance to those laid off, then shut the Hell up! But, one day you might be one of the ones coming in here for actual info and then you too can be annoyed at the employed bitchers and whiners that have such a sense of entitlement that they think this is a place for them to vent about not getting more money. All the karma posts, you can include your names in there.
For those actually still looking for employment, Rightway is having an online job fair on Tuesday, Jan 21st. My career guy said that even though my 3 months is up before then that as long I've signed up for anything like that or webinars before my cut off on the 16th, I can still get in. So if you didn't get the email, check the site or bug your coach.
