A high stock price means the market and analysts like the company as of that moment. It doesn't mean the future is bright, the strategy is going well, or that the company is set for long term success. You can shuffle the chairs on a sinking ship to make it look better for a little while, but the result is going to be the same...you've only delayed it a bit.
