Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Breath in, Breath out, move on

First I'd like to say I am sorry for those of you who were laid-off and wanted to stay. Its never feels good to be told the company feels it is better off without you. Your experience and dedication can't be replaced, no matter what the company decides for their short term benefit. That said, I would advise you to go through your stages of grief as quickly as possible and move on. Please take this from someone who dwelled on their anger and bitterness for too long from a past layoff--until my spouse and a good friend intervened to tell me I was talking about the old company too much and dwelling on anger and bitterness. If felt very good to let go.

I hope you are better people than I was, and realize no matter how unfair, short sighted or stupid this was, it is done and you are better off--in Jimmy Buffett's words--breathing in, breathing out and moving on. I wish you good fortune.
