Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I am sure it was a bluff (not a real option), but Illinois would not want to risk the loss of tax revenue etc. We are talking millions of dollars in tax credits provided to Follett from Illinois. Probably enough to cover much of the cost of the new building renovations etc. This is a smart move for Follett and one that many companies follow...like sears/kmart did years ago.

Perhaps layoffs are on hold until after 4/1 move...
