I met head of department of SE Asia NOC last week. Question was raised "Why do you think HAL has 4x Revenue as WFT with same staff?" His answer - because their sales and BD staff get in front of the customers and don't wait for the RFQ's. As the panic inside WFT to meet revenue targets through Capital Efficiency continues, there are actually simpler more effective long term solutions that could be employed, but the senior managers are too busy puffing up their own importance to take notice of the disaster unfolding beneath them. Junior staff are left to take the blame as delegation takes the place of leadership.
