Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

The REAL "Cabela's Culture"...

The real Cabela's culture from an employee's standpoint is to push their Club Card credit cards above all other priorities, followed by pushing add-on extended service plan (as in ripoff), and for the cashiers it is also pestering each and every customer for "round up" contributions and pestering them for a phone number. As a new employee you get on board with those programs as your highest priority, and your performance is judged almost solely by your percentages in those areas, and if you are not on board with that you are out of there fast. Customer service is a distant lower priority, although some "Outfitters" still provide skilled customer service. But Cabela's could care less about that if your Club Card percentages are low. Very disillusioning if you previously respected Cabela's, but that is the true "Cabela's Culture".
