Here in Texas, over the last two years, but especially in the last 6 months, our hours in the store have gone from 8 hours/day to about 4 hours/day. Because of Obamacare, Target gives most who use to be full time an average of 20-25 hours/week. After 4 hours of work, our ETLs tell us to go home and "enjoy the sunshine" or "go spend time with your families" or some other cooked up Target catchphrase. Sadly, and what really makes us angry, is that the only people working full time in the store other than ETLs is the illegal immigrant cleaning crew (and yes, Target keeps it on the hush-hush, but we know they are illegal), though they are not actually Target employees, but work for an outside company. They can't or refuse to speak English and love to talk about us/curse at us in Spanish...

Sounds like my store in Houston. Costco would offer more of a rewarding challenge and higher wagers.

Are you talking part-time? I thought the Team Members I had worked with there were full time and boasted that they got full time hours and benefits. I would imagine par-timers would be the ones to have hours reduced because they are part time.
