No matter the number years of dedicated work. 2 weeks pay nothing else.

It is wrong. it is horrible. It is immoral.

Our CP said not waiting for them to dictate who has to go...ie terminations will come before layoffs...and good luck getting "unemployment"

When I was RIF-ed the severance was based on how long you had been with the company. Someone who had been there for more than 10 years, got a few months of severance. Those that had been there for like 2 years received only two weeks. I know I personally received a 4 weeks, plus they did it toward the beginning of the month and I was able to have my insurance until the end of the month. In that time I was able to get in to see my doctors, and got contacts and things so that I wouldn't have to worry if it took me a while to find a job. Thankfully it didn't but at least I had my bases covered.

8 weeks pay if you had been there a while. Maybe it has changed now.
