I know first hand how UOP "leadership" focuses on retention. One may think that this is ideal; however, we are all but forced to give grades that students do not earn. I have junior level students who have challenges with writing a thesis statement. Yes, we run classes with just 3-7 students enrolled.

They forced many of us to change grades so they could keep pushing students along who were not able to do the work. Just a sham. I left three years ago.It was a great decision.I felt bad for the students because after a while they would try to enforce standards and many of these students washed out, but accumulated massive student loan debt.
We are forced to inflate and lie about grades. It's always been this way.
Bull. For-profit colleges are 100% aimed at luring in unsuspecting students and extracting the government aid/Gi Bill.
Grade inflation and giveaways is rampant. Wake up, shilly.
You are incorrect and this is B.S. if you are being pressured to give grades then you need to step up and make that known. I know that is not the norm and complaining on this forum is just silly - here is my email if you want to discuss further. dwjohnson1958@gmail.com
