Age discrimination is the fastest growing discrimination in federal courts these days, partly because of layoffs. What happens is a company resides to lay off workers to cut cost. They start looking at salary numbers and notice that older workers are the most expensive. Then someone comes up with the bright idea to layoff the most expensive workers; they do then seem to be surprised when they're hit with a class action age discrimination lawsuit. Workers frequently win these cases especially if they're in a work place which is common , where there are lots of jokes about age. This information came off of workplacesthatwork.com

11693 might be the best post I've read. well said.
People spend there lives building a company up, the company didn't bother to be open and honest with everyone so they could be proactive. Instead hired narcissistic failures that appealed to unexperienced newbeies or other narcissistic " service departments" to watch it get torn down. Well if the company has millions upon millions to pay for VC, grand views, and spend millions or other countries crap then they should have a wee bit for the folks that built the company up while they we off on their vacations and various personal interests, which I'll be polite and won't expand on that subject. No worries a class action suit will not break or make Follett. No tears please, yes we will win.
