Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Heald College is up for sale.

CCI big shots have been looking at the possibility of selling Heald. The big problem is that nobody is apparently interested because Heald is losing money along with the potential liability due to the California lawsuit. Heald was supposed to make a sufficient profit to cover the losses at Everest and Wyotech which isn't happening. CCI is looking at abandoning California all together due to the bad publicity.

Heald was in a poor financial position when CCi bought it. Its accreditation was in jeopardy, in fact. CCi stabilized it for a while, but the rotten-to-the-core culture of CCi is finally being exposed publicly and is dragging Heald down the tubes. Heald was a fairly decent little no-name two-year college years ago, and there is a remote possibility that a new buyer (like Gryphon Investors) could turn it back around.

Remember when CCi "sells" that means that CCi pays to get rid of its trash. It's all in the financial statements.
