There is a town hall meeting tomorrow. No announcement, just an email to a select few people. I guess the rest of don't need to know about next year's goals or our merit increase.

Love the new era of communication.
Did I tell you we can fix it!. I am tired of hearing that phrase with no changes being made other than layoffs and cutting expenses. This business needs to grow. Any leader can keep cutting costs - no innovation to that.
So how was the big meeting. Lots of promises and talk, no plans to get their.
I don't understand how inviting a few people to the townhall and leaving the rest of the company to rely on rumors improves communication. We had video conferencing of meetings for years. How is it that we suddenly lost the ability? Did we lay off all the people who know how to do this? Is outsourcing not capable of supporting something we used to do all the time? I still haven't heard what the financial 'goals' for next year are. Are they so unrealistic that Mary Lee doesn't want us to know that there is no chance of meeting them?
to not poop the bed
Did she say what next year's goals are?
3% merit. Town hall is a repeat of the last two. MLS repeats the same over and over. Repeating something does not make it happen.
Maybe they'll give a little merit increase since they seem to want to boost morale right now. Probably not much but maybe something for the drones. The town hall is probably to share what they picked up from the leadership conference. They go to those and come back with the new buzz word of the year that all the companies will be using this year. I remember the infamous "facilitate" last year it was "innovation" I wonder what the word will be this year. I hope it'll make "you own it" passe`.
Verbal promises are not worth anything...
Top mgmt that matters to MLS has a retention bonus.
She has her eyes on sales. Yet overlooks the continued redundancy in top FSS positions.
This meeting is all feel good.
Are we going to have merit increases? I just do not think so.
