I recommend you keep your job and quietly start looking . . . Get your resume updated. You may not find anything right away. But it can't hurt to look.

And for those of you thinking they let only crap instructors go, that's not the case. Earlier posts indicate even full timers are getting either less than or more than the average number of classes. And classes have been overloaded, according to earlier posts. I received at least 5 emails from students who indicated they requested me for this term, so I

Know that my students have a high regard for me. It makes me sad. Because so had a high regard for them, too. I really liked this job and even prepped my classes ahead, looming forward to the term. And without a word, my classes were empty. (Now they're gone.) So, I am knocking down doors, hoping someone will see the value in my work. I am trying to

Get the jump before 200 other peoe vying for the same job from the same school are all looking, too. I've just been feeling sick about it since last week . . . I get a lot of people hate their jobs with CCI, but I was not one of them.

Ummmm, adjunct instructors by the hoard have not gotten work. No instructors means no/low enrollment. What follows, do you suppose? Raises for everyone?!?'

It's possible, depending on your job/situation that layoffs could include some type of package for a recruiter or career services help (an outside service.) it depends on how it all plays out.

Leave our jobs after this session? You obviously haven't been reading this board . . . People are already getting the boot.

You can always use a recruiter or wait for the the announcement of a buyer for Heald. There is a reason the stock shot up to near .28 today

Last term, I was an adjunct instructor with a full load. Today I am out of a job without a word. Although so keep getting emails about all the updates so far this term and my Skype account is active. Don't take this job for granted. Especially since enrollment is so low, they can't even give FT instructors at some colleges full classes. And with an already terrible retention rate and students without textbooks, retention could get worse. A lack of students equals a lack of $$. Don't let the calm waters fool you. Look

For a job, or don't. But CCI will cease to exist in 6 months. And without $, layoffs could be imminent.

You have to make your own opportunities. If you want a new job, don't just rely on highered jobs or LinkedIn. You'll have to do some research and seek out jobs. Find names and send inquiries or resumes. If you rely on jobs boards, you will be spending your time competing with the 15,000 about to be out of a job.

That is the problem. There isn't a lot of opportunity on Linkedin or Indeed...
