It's such a strange time for CCI employees. What's going on out there? So many doomsday theories but I haven't noticed change at all. No layoffs, no bounced checks, no stop in enrollments. Why be worried

1. Layoffs have been happening across the board, but on a very small scale, they can not lay off more than 50 at a time so they can avoid paying severance.
2. Vendors are not being paid, A/P will not answer phones and sadly the receptionist are having to field calls...as a matter of fact a vendor that works with the Santa Ana campus showed up at CSC demanding payment this, and guess what, we cut them a check!
Anyone who thinks we haven't hit the perverbiel iceberg is sadly kinding themselves.
Yes, nothing has changed...
They have freezes all layoff and hiring (depending on the department)
Anonymous22463 - What CCI are you working at? Layoff's all most everywhere. How do I figure that you ask? Well let us look at FACTS. Across all brands schools have fewer sections (classes for people who have no clue what a section is). We also see larger class sizes. FACT, fewer sections = fewer instructors on the payroll. FACT. Instructors that are not teaching have no job. FACT.
This is a funny joke. I would say that CCI will no longer exist in six months sort of is the definition of doom. If they don't sell, they go to teach out. That's pink slips for everyone. And not the kind you buy at Victoria's Secret.
Oh, I needed a chuckle today. Thanks!
You're so, so pretty.
Guess what? They aren't teaching schools out and they aren't selling CCI schools? Everything is back to normal!!! Yeah!
You think students without textbook, empty class sections, placing tons of adjuncts on inactive status (because they haven't filled classes) and frozen enrollment is normal? Ok then.
Don't worry, be happy is a great theme for a song, but probably a bit risky for a career plan given all the noise surrounding CCI.
Yeah, nothing's changed. Business as usual. So say the employees who will end up in the unemployment line . . . Those of us who have seen the light? Well, we will have a jump on the jobs. I for one, am not waiting to compete with 12,000 ex-colleagues for a few jobs. But hey, no changes. No changes. Keep smiling and dialing peoe. Everything is super great!!!
"Business as usual" lol.
