Just got word, company is grasping at straws to show this period wasn't a total wash. Prepare for the softest BTS season ever... oh and sure enough, there WILL be WAY more closures!

Yep, close stores, cut staffing in stores that stay open, cut rewards for people that still shop at Staples. Just keep giving customers more of what they want and they will return and spend even more.
Stores are a complete joke. One tech on, three people at tech counter waiting for help, two more in printers, one in PCs. Phone ringing off the hook from people calling to see if their PC is fixed yet. But we can't afford the payroll to put another tech on. Same thing in CPC and registers. Stores may not be making sales but it is because Staples Labor planning system actually punishes stores for making budget.
Yeah, the sales right now are a fiasco, but at least they can desperately cut the rewards program again!
