Why not take it? You need time off for job interviews anyway.

You will find out repercussions when mass layoffs start. They can't last 5 months fully staffed.
They (CCI), are waiting to see how many will take time off. It will then see how many quit. If they feel it isn't enough then they will have more lay off and mandatory furloughs. BOTTOM LINE they are heading towards bankruptcy serious cash problems due to low enrollments.
You won't be forced. The people next to you who are looking will end up landing a job. You'll be fine for a good 5 months.
