Thread regarding Follett layoffs

What kind of rat are you.

There are two kinda of rats on a sinking ship. Those smart enough to know the ship is sinking so they jump off and those too scared or dumb to jump off and end of drowning. So what kind are you? So if you are just waiting to drown, then you are obviously using your valuable time to complain on websites versus looking for another job so you can jump ship.D238834184

IT jobs are picking up, I left and happy I did and I had been with Follett for a long time. Found a much better cultural envirnoment.

Follett is not heading in the right direction. I'm the rat that jumped off the boat earlier this year and what a great move it was. It was difficult to leave but one of the best decisions I made this year. Follett is not the only company and I was there for many years.

I am the kind of rat that is actively looking for a new job, but not accepting the first one that comes along. IT market is picking up so now is the time to be selective.

And snakes just slither along devouring the rats still left until there are no more to feed on.

@ Bob (ops) : That is a rather narrow viewpoint. It is possible to post on this site WHILE you are looking for a job or even after you have found another job. Since we know that senior management are lurking on the site, it is also possible to use this site to communicate with people that you would not normally have access to. Everyone might not agree with you that the ship is about to sink. Some of us might believe that something can be salvaged from this mess.
