You must have a Masters and 18 grad credits in the field of study to teach A.S. or B.S. degree and Ph.D to teach at Masters level.

Anonymous14408 - One of your Heald Stockton medical instructors has a PhD in Music .... But she is also an RN, so I am sure that PhD counts for something......Heald instructors have higher degrees....at least at BA in most cases, just not always for the field they are teaching in. One instructor has an MS in Music and teaching computer classes.

I'm not in education but I was told that MA instructors had to have so many years of experience. That's because they are supposed to be one level above what they teach (for accreditation), but one level above MA would be RN and they are too hard to get. So they can substitute years of experience for additional education.

Don't many students finish with MA certification? If I remember right, there is no experience required.

MA certification I believe. That and work experience as an MA. They're not going to find themselves hired by Stanford when this is all over. At least the medical field has high demand so they'll be OK if they want to go back to being an MA.
