It's an election year and the crushing of CCI is one of the very few things Tea Party Republicans and Democrats will agree on. Congresspeople will be taking their shots at a CEO whose company took billions in taxpayer money and tried to screw over the government when being held to account. If I was Speaker of the House or Senate majority leader, I would schedule that for yesterday.

18344, you most likely don't remember the big banks and the multi billion dollar TYCO and others that the government took out because of the bail-out, about 10 years ago. The government don't care how much money you have. If they want to close and lock your doors forever, they can and will do it. Money don't buy you out of trouble, just look at the trouble the IRS is in now.

Be prepared to be disappointed, then. This is a multi billion dollar company. Companies in America are often politically attached in order to stay in business. I think in order to have sustained this long, there are many allies to the business that are politically connected.
I get that people are angry and anxious and want to know their fates. I get that. But Iin the end, the business will quietly close and everyone will move on. The high level execs will find other high level exec jobs. Employees will move on and fine other jobs. Students will, hopefully, move on and get their degrees and training with new colleges.
Businesses have been closing and selling and shutting doors since the dawn of time. Personally, I think it's best to stay calm and decide your own fates. Saying terrible things on this board is not a good use of anyone's time. And sadly, it's forced anyone with real information or a rational opinion to stop coming here.
