Why hasn't the government closed this business down?!! We need an example and the CEO of this company needs to go to prison for fraud! So many lives have already been destroyed educationally and financially. Stop enrolling and start arresting!

Too lazy to learn? I personally have worked my ass off for a year LEARNING. Stop placing judgment assholes. Compassion is a quality you obviously were never taught..
The blame will be spread around to everyone but the students themselves because they were too lazy and unwilling to learn. Is always the system...
No shit 18966. Instead of beating a dead horse, I'm continuing the discussion others have entered here about quality of education. We moved on from Corinthian...what's done is done. There's a bigger concern in education that really needs to be addressed.
I get everyone is mad. But let's not forget that students aren't total victims. They're all adults. If they make a choice to sign up, collect $, and then not pursue their educations, the blame cannot be totally based at the foot of the college.
It is closing down. What are you talking about?!?!
Agreed. Quality of education is the root of the problem. And the roots start in our public K-12 system. If 1/2 as much effort went into cleaning up that mess as has gone into "bringing down Corinthian", we may have a fighting chance at a future that includes a better educated America.
The public schools allowing these students who can't read or type an email to graduate should be reprimanded. Where else could these students go to college? Not even a community college wants them. Its reality folks.I dont condone the tactics some for profits do but these students still want and deserve a chance of higher learning. They have a right.
- Awesome post. I am always saying that to myself. I work as an admissions rep and speaking to these individuals all the time. I smh
Anonymous18932 - all schools are for-profit, labeled that way or not! How many Division 1 Universities take a loss to their bottom line every year??? Also, as a "teacher in the public school system"...it should say "a for-profit school" not "an for-profit school" - we know where the issues start.
To the teacher in the public school system, you're talking about students at CCi schools that can't read or write. My question to you is, how in the hell did these kids make it through the public school system? Sounds to me that the blame should be on the public school teachers. When you graduate students who can't read you are the one who should be ashamed. Oh I forgot, the union protects lousy public school teachers.
Easy money, plain and simple. Many of the employees were aware of the illegal practice but with good paychecks no one decided to take a moral stance. I'm glad this monstrosity is burning.
From the top down to the bottom these people took advantage of the poor, uneducated and disabled. How did so many people allow for this to go on and on?
As a teacher in the public school system I will never tell my students to ever go to an for-profit school. It's sick how this keeps getting dragged out and the American people have to pay.
