I hear the travel restriction for all regional and divisional brass has been lifted and they're being urged to travel back to the campuses. I may be alone here, but seeing the useless VP's walk the halls attending conference calls from one of our many empty offices before getting in a rental car and heading back to the Hilton is a blatant slap in the face to those of us who have lost a week's pay! Anyone want to join me in expressing this view when they visit the campus?

Good for you, Greg Waite. You good for nothing arrogant lying sucking piece of top cowdung shit! Good riddance!
Lillian (lilly) Gonzalez need to be fired along with her friend Nancy Aguillon. They are cheating money scums. They are worthless piece of shits.
It's strange that they are still employed. We got rid of a lot of those positions about ten years ago, then they started creeping back. But our financial situation is much worse now, so you'd think they would have been laid off. Why unpaid furloughs for those people actually going about the business of serving students, but big bucks spent on unessential middle managers?
At this point, all regionals and divisionals should go on longer furloughs. They are middle management that serve little purpose at this point.
That worthless piece of shit Jim Askins can go too. I was always amused how he managed to fit that huge belly in such tight pants - what a jerk!
867, what if you are afraid to tell your manager? Mine will definitely retaliate if I even LOOK concerned. I think it is because this goes way beyond morale and into the realm of a criminal investigation. Lots of tracks being covered right now. With heavy equipment.
CCI is top heavy. Get rid of the unnecessary. RVPs, now tell me, what do you do? Visit each campus talk to the admissions/president, open and input on that Excel sheet, answer some emails. All this for over six figures? No wonder we are free falling.
822, I like your thinking. As I tried to point out recently, the top brass may actually think they run the campuses, those truly "in charge" are the instructors, admissions' reps, receptionists, etc. If all called off, the revenue-generation would come to a halt. Nobody to teach, nobody to answer phones. Wonder if they'd get the picture?
A better statement would be the blue/orange flu. We can ALL take two days off paid at the same time and not be questioned. We should all coordinate a particular two day period where we all call in sick .
866: I'm not disputing that. But, if you make the call (or, if not in a management role, ask your manager to make the call), they must report it. Let's face it folks, we have nothing to lose at this point. I'd rather go down speaking the truth than keep my mouth shut and act as if I condone their conduct.
The regional and divisional HR people are in cahoots with the rest. They are part of the regional/divisional team. Everything you tell them goes straight to those we are venting about. They are not true HR people.
I am the OP, 832, 836 and 845. Let's do something about it. We can let our voices be heard rather than simply venting. There's power in numbers. Call HR and tell him/her how a regional/divisional trip would further hurt campus morale. It can't hurt.
But as Lilian The Great and Powerful Motivator says, we need to be "warriors!" If by "warriors" you mean figuring out the best way to coordinate paying bills for the first half of October? Oh yeah. You can call me "Leonidas", Lilian. Thanks for the 40 hours worth of job hunting, or as I call it, finding a life-raft from this sinking ship, though!
OP is spot on.
Got it. Well add Lockwood, Johnson and Stiglich (same roles in that order) to the mix. All the same story. Fly in and out (approximately $800/ticket), rent a car (approximately $50/day), eat 3 squares a day (approximately $100) and take their families on vacation with hotel and ff points. Amazing how they can even make eye contact with employees struggling to pay rent this month.
RVPA, RVPO and DVPA respectively. But those are just to name a few.
825: What roles do those (Aguillon, Waite and Gonzalez) fill? Regional or Divisional?
I'd love to tell you both (820 and 825) to email Jack and let him know. But, I did that and it didn't go over well. Still feeling the retaliation. However, what we can do is to call our HR manager and strongly express what a negative impact on campus morale the regionals/divisionals have when traveling to the campuses during these trying times. They're paid to protect employees and positively impact morale. If we all call them, maybe, just maybe the regionals/divisionals will be "grounded". They'll have to pay for their own meals and earn frequent flyer miles on someone else's dime.
The f***er who keeps stating "old news" needs to shove it. I agree that all of these regionals and divisionals are a waste of space. They roll around as if they make a difference. The next cost saving move should be to eliminate them. They do absolutely nothing but attend conference calls and send in reports. They have absolutely zero impact on production and morale. Nancy Aguillon, Greg Waite and Lillian Gonzalez in the west need to go. They are insignificant at this point.
I totally agree with you! It's beyond despicable! Our receptionist, single mother of 3, has to to lose a weeks pay at $12.00/hr - while she has to watch a RVP pull up in a rental car, getting round trip ticket, 3-4 meals paid, and hotel. Also, did you know that they also get to keep their frequent flyer miles for personal use? Disgusting!!!
