Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

This is Socle post that keeps attracting troll posts to push it down (and explains why people keep calling Socle Jacks' parachute scheme)

From the rumors I've heard, here are the plans: a group of CCi execs "purchase" Socle for a few bucks, taking a lot of CCi's proprietary software with it. The group also purchases QuickStart Intelligence for cheap in some rumors. Once purchased, Socle becomes the new branding for a full-service proprietary education consulting company (I imagine presentations like "How to Fleece Taxpayers in Three Easy Steps"). The execs, still in charge of CCi, sell the more valuable properties (such as Heald) at way below market price, with the provision that the new owners must use Socle services for a set number of years. Therefore they, in effect, transfer what would have been part of the purchase price into their greedy little hands. I've heard that was the same trick that Global pulled, that it was started by the owner of several schools that CCi wanted to buy so an agreement was made that CCi had to use Global services for 15 years or something. We started SFS immediately when the contract was up. Even though SFS/Socle hasn't been that great, I think we can all agree it was 100% better than Global FAS. That's because Global didn't have to provide good service, since we had no choice but to use them. Jack & Co remember that deal and are incorporating it into their own sleazy plan. They really expect to make out like bandits while the rest of us are screwed. I've heard other rumors that Fitzgerald does nothing and has no clue what's going on, so they may get away with it.

Anonymous39052 -- Socle staff have been on here for months telling us exactly how they are getting unsuspecting colleges to sign up. Look at Socle Education's website -- not a mention that they're a subsidiary of CCi. In fact, they use us as a "case study" and call us "clients." Socle staff have been trained to never, ever mention CCI and some of them even believe they work for a different company. That's why there are posts listing the Socle clients and folks here are talking about using their furloughs to contact them and let them know they've hired CCi to handle their financial aid. Because you are absolutely correct. NO legitimate educational institution would knowingly have anything to do with us.

With the new crimonal investigations that specifically call out Socle (financial aid) I think it's time for another email campaign to make sure the client colleges know who they're in bed with. Texas A&M, Grace Divinity, Lake Sumter, Grayson College, and North Central Texas College are clients, and several posters on her have also mentioned Oral Roberts U, East West University, and NY Film Academy. Most are just for default management servicing. Probably best to be comprehensive. Since whatever middle managers hired Socle obviously didn't do their homework, best to send info higher up. A list of links to the various criminal compaints and lawsuits is a good start. The new FL financial aid one is on top, followed by a couple of articles about how unethical CCi's default management practices have been, like this one: http://higheredwatch.newamerica.net/blogposts/2012/the_real_story_behind_corinthian_colleges_plummeting_default_rates-72503

Jack and the ELT are delusional, as proven time and again. I don't think the OP's post about 'the plan' is unreasonable. But what I do find unreasonable is that any educational institution - legit or not - would touch SOCLE in any meaningful way. We can add to the OP's original tagline of 'How to Fleece Taxpayers....' with another one... "How to guarantee your educational institution is aggressively investigated by EVERYONE since we (SOCLE) employ illegal marketing and FA strategies." Jack and the ELT are trying to hide the SOCLE relationship, but is not going to work.

The part about Global FAS 100% true.

The part about Fitzgerald probably isn't true. He's a power player and it can be expected that he'll keep things close to his chest. There's been a lot happening in terms of laswuits filed, criminal probes started, accreditation suspension threats. I'll bet he's been encouraging those behind the scenes. Everyone at CSC is being told that he does nothing to go along with the "business as usual, nothing will come of this" kool-aid routine. It's part of the company line.

Sounds like the proposed plan.

I re-posted this. I'm Socle and that sounds just like what some of us have been told on the DL. It really is the plan! So of course immediately a post pops up to try to cast doubt on it. We know what always happens when this post goes up - massive CCi mgmt troll attack. Just wait for it...it won't be long.
