I find it absolutely hilarious that Corinthian faculty still receive emails from corporate about professional development. If I really want professional development I will pursue another Masters degree (which I am doing anyway, but that's beside the point). Assuming (and no one with an ounce of brains is) that CCI pulls something out of thin air between now and September 25th, the true enrollment is going to be so low due to the legal battles and negative press that the doors may as well be padlocked after this term... which I predict is going to happen anyway... if it even takes that long. 39068: BINGO! We have one person at CSC who is very popular with the highest level and whose only job is to organize our ridiculous PD. Even with cutbacks, I see she still has a job.
I never received any such email. Intelligent Heart for ECPO fulfilled PD for this year. The ongoing training was requested by employees last winter, as a follow up to the original training. Why, I have no idea, because it was so stupid I still can't believe I wasted time on it. Nonetheless, if you are referring to the follow up, it's not mandatory.
This is the OP 068.... that is an excellent point.
Keep in mind that some of those programs were planned and budgeted much earlier, also, folks organizing them need to keep busy. I am not justifying it, just saying what might have caused it.
