Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

What I've been told

ECMC will purchase select profitable, compliant Everest campuses, to be announced in Nov. as non profit status. Everest brand will be eliminated, new brand announced at a later date. SOCLE will handle FA transactions for ECMC newly purchased campuses. Another round of furloughs to be expected in Oct. One more round of middle management (RDOA, RAVP, RVP) layoffs in Oct. Remaining Faculty, Admissions Reps, F/A will stay in tact. Management will be disbursed slowly, until new management is hired and trained by ECMC practices. Career Services stays intact at a reduced staff until all current students graduate and are placed. Heald will be involved in a merger to be announced in Oct. I haven't been informed on Wyotech.

Wyotech will be bought by ECMC as well. Letter of intent to be signed in October. Hiring req. for additional staff have begun at campus. I have been with the company over 12 years. Pending the final signatures, this is a go.

Anonymous41448: The offer was from ECMC and they were not the exclusive bidder. It was a big FU to the DoE. Haven't people figured out that the monitor is not doing shit except approving invoices? Besides no one gives two squirts of piss about you or your job. Anonymous41448 you are a POS waiting for someone else to "save" your job. Drop your cock and put your big boy pants on and look for your own job.

Solid insider information...or not...that is the real question...keep in mind that it is difficult(if not highly improbable) to split schools out from their OPEID's just because they are "compliant"

448, how do you know the Heald offer was refused?

CCI refused the offer made to buy Heald and the buyer walked. Back to the drawing board for Heald. looks more and more like it will be closing due to CCi's arrogance. Where is the monitor when you need him. CCI should have no say in the "deal" that is made to save the schools and our jobs.

Anonymous41369: I heard announced in Oct, finalized in Nov. Don't feel too bad as they say He who laughs last, laughs the loudest.

@377: instructors = faculty in the OP's statement "Remaining Faculty, Admissions Reps, F/A will stay in tact." Reading comprehension, it's not just for the classroom!

Cannot buy this scenario Admission rep pay is not in line with ECMC model. Plus it will take time for accreditation in this "unicorn" world I only see Career Services& Student Services plus Academics surviving somewhat intact. FA , Admissions plus Socle go. Maybe some hired back after accreditation at market wage.

But ALL the ECMC rumors have proven to be so accurate, Mr. Trade Craft. I'm sure your 'connection' is reliable as she has been for the past 3 months.

I don't doubt you were told that, but my guess is there is little to no chance of it happening.
