The sale needs to be approved by the SEC and DOE next. Jack has called a meeting for this Friday morning.

No, but someone reading the site can simply call the SEC and state that they have a friend who is a director at CCI told them about the sale and to buy stocks. Since a few managers names have been mentioned, all they have to do is mention one of them as the source. SEC is probably the best government agency regarding anonymous tips. All they have to do is find one employee to confirm it (not remotely difficult to do) and then get a supenoa to request email and phone records of the director from CCI. Either CCI will ignore the requests or the request will turn up evidence (if true) or nothing. The layoff.com doesn't have to exist is this scenario.
There are more approvals needed before the sale will be made public, such as SEC, DOE, Barclays Int'l. No rumors on thelayoffs.com will kill the deal. Nothing posted on this site will have any determine factor what so ever
I am not saying a sale of Everest did or did not happen, or is or is not going to happen because I am not privy to that information in my position. All I am trying to say is that if a sale of one of the CCI brands already did happen, being a publicly traded company, this type of confidential information would need to be made public first before it could be announced at a staff meeting and posted on an Internet site like this one. My understanding is that once papers are signed, an agreement in principle is made and it is made public, we will then either read about it in the news and shortly thereafter get an email from the Execs that this is what is going on and when the anticipated close date will be.
772, never checked it before like you spend your days on. Googled to try to find this site and it came up. Was curious so looked. Never before. Never again. Do not have stock in the company. Not a benefit at my pay grade. Just happened upon it. But felt compelled to share the info. That's all. End of story. Continue to bash . . . Does not change the fact that there is much the same info.
767 you must have drank the Kool aid if you're still checking in on COCO stock. You took an ass beating on the COCO shares you purchased while you were employed? Fool. You should have known that any company foolish enough to hire you would tank.
Actually, just announcing a buyer IS a major securities crime if the information is not public. CCI stock is publicly traded and can be manipulated by management words. You don't have to have 2 names to make it a securities crime, all you need is one stock and one insider. Beyond that, certain companies by name have been mentioned on this site. Any of the government informers on this site can and probably will go to the SEC if any of these rumors come true. Management by name has been referenced to specific details...SEC would have a field day.
768 again. No unemployment. Used savings for a few weeks.
Not all ex employees are bitter. Better job. Higher pay. Believe it or not. True for moi.
I happened upon the Yahoo Finance site for CCI earlier this week. It's got much of the same posts, including drinking the Kool
Aid. Just don't think angry ex employees are posting on a stock site. Just my observation. Tell me I am polluting the site. Google Yahoo Finance CoCo and see for yourself. See also the info they take from here and post there. Just my opinion. Pollution over. Bash me all you want. This is a fact.
It's not how hard you fall, it's how fast you get back up. I beloved this all happened for the better for all of you who are hanging in there. This was the only way we could reform and get rid if those bad people that weezeled their way into employment at Everest from top to bottom. Things happen for a reason. They gone. You'll survive
I believe it. We had our walk through with the non profit at our Fort Worth campus 2 weeks ago.
It is ridiculous that any time someone posts new info they are a troll. Annoying. If you are not a CURRENT Corinthian employee just go away. We (the current employees) are the ones that hear the conference calls and go to the meetings. We are the ones still being paid and updated. You can say we are losers or whatever for hanging on to hope...but we are here for our students. I went to a for profit school 13 plus years ago and was in the same position as our students. I have had a successful career since. I paid off my loans within 2 years of graduating and have not only made good money after moving up the ladder but also helping patients and their families. Everyone deserves a chance. We should not give up on these students until we are told we are closing. Our enrollment has actually sky rocketed at our campus. I guess bad publicity brings more students. And no I am not a troll. Just an instructor.
737 you're welcome. I hope things work out for all of you. There were a lot of bad people who worked for Everest College. Those people and campuses don't exist anymore. They are the bitter people posting in this site. The majority of employees at Everest are hard working decent human beings that made a huge difference in a lot of peoples lives. Hold your head up high. This nightmare is almost over. You will soon be a respected non profit college owned by a company that the White House and the DOE respects. Those bad eggs are gone and will stay gone.
Blue Horseshoe likes Coco
Anonymous41741: We are all and some of us have been saying this for months only to be called names and other things. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and I hope everyone gets happy news.
You can't blame any of us for being skeptical. We've been hearing about how close they are to signing a deal for two months. Every two weeks we would hear 10 days to 2 weeks. I'm more concerned about Wyotech than Everest.
Most of the bitter people on this site have been let to by Everest in recent months. They are in panic mode, eating noodles, bread and water every night. Their Unemployment will run out in a few months so they need to put the blame on someone else. Now they are panicking because they are mentally challenged and are having a hard time finding employment.
735 Thank you. It's endlessly frustrating that when someone actually tries to share real information, they are automatically treated as a "troll." I get that people lie, but come on. Why would I make up a meeting? We have staff meetings pretty regularly.
Yo 731 or Beavis what ever your name is. There is more than one signature required when it comes to purchasing a publicly traded corporation, especially one that involves the SEC, DOE, Barclays, and Accreditation bodies. It's called "A deal reached in principle". Go get some more chicky nuggets for dinner. And some new socks! Yours has holes.
ha ha ha.... more smoke and mirrors... sounds like you've been selling CCI diploma mill degrees for a long time
Anonymous40204 Thursday 09/25/14 01:33:05 UTC " I'm just going to go on and have fun on this site, posting anonymously and seeing how people react. I've even started over half of the rumors on this site. Who's going to have the last laugh now?"
731 - you can choose to be skeptical, that's your choice. But there WAS an all-staff meeting at ECP today, at which a non-profit buyer was announced, and that the buyer and CCI were in the final stages of closing a deal. I don't know how much clearer I can make that.
what's a deal if not signed. If you ever worked for enrollment, do you get credit for a student that didn't sign but just thought about it..
Stop smoking that weed and get real.
728- Thank you, good point!
725- The deal is not done yet. Nothing has been signed.
Also, it's only insider training if it can be proved a person profited by selling or buying the stock before the deal is announced.
.10 cents stock, will not make payroll in mid October, and will close before trick or treat day. Don't believe me, wait until Friday stocks will fall to the lowest at .08 cents a share.
It's not leaking information as long as the name of the buyer isn't revealed. And I highly doubt Ed Johnson would deliberately tell all ECP staff that knowing that it's an insider trading violation.
Um, I don't think so but nice try. Being a publicly traded company this information would not be shared with anyone outside of the inner circle until the papers are signed, the deal is closed and an announcement was made to the press. Anyone leaking this information would be violating a ton of Insider Trading Regulations. Haven't you seen Wall Street? Bud Fox and Gordon Gecko get theirs for screwing around like this! If Everest, or any other brand has been sold we would not be hearing about it here, we would either receive a company email from the Execs or read about it in the news.
Actually, the buyer that was referenced in ECP's all-staff meeting today was referred to as a non-profit. Nothing has been signed yet, however.

Hey Rudy, you're just filled up with a whole lot if attitude, 5ft nothing, one hundred and nothin, still on unemployment and food stamps.
Very doubtful! next you're going to tell us we will all get rainbows and kittens....
ohhh shut up... no sale not now not ever.. stop wasting people's time..
