Responding to 156: its difficult to say.
My guess is that some full time positions may be cut to part time.
I am FT faculty with 4 classes, however 2 of my classes are empty...So what happens if they don't have students to fill the 2 empty classes? Do they take away classes from an adjunct? Does anyone know?
I don't see the Pollyannas. You must be hallucinating again, Five-O. Never believe your course enrollment or your gradebook until after add drop. There is no way to predict when students will begin reading about recent events.
I wonder why all the Pollyannas keep coming back here. Just admit your mis-guided dreams won't quite pan out and go away, would you?
I wonder why all the nay sayers keep coming back here. Just admit your wishes didn't quite pan out and go away, would you?
My best guess here, is you will not see the end of your 12 weeks with a CCI paycheck.
I heard of instructors who had students enrolled who were later moved to other classes to have 32, rather than 25 students.
What about if you have a class assigned to you that lists student names in the gradebook? Is it fair to presume that that is an indication of enrolled students in the class that will likely make?
025 is right. I got assigned a class too, but no students have been enrolled. Generally, the lower the section number, the more likely students will be enrolled.
Class assignments are based on wishful thinking more than anything else. Many classes were assigned this past term that never had any students in them. Expect the same thing in the upcoming term. Being assigned a class is never a guarantee that the class will run.
I am in Career Services/EUO and am a little unfamiliar with how class assignment works. Are classes assigned based on confirmed enrollments?
