Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Dear Ms. Joanna Acocella (Vice President Federal Relations at Apollo Group)

Dear Ms. Acocella, I am not a threat to Apollo Group. The biggest threat to Apollo Group is Apollo Group management and its short-sighted and cynical leadership. Spending hundreds of millions on lobbyists, advertising marketers, and Google Ad Sense is neither innovative nor effective in the long run. If you want Apollo Group to succeed, listen to University of Phoenix's most principled workers at every level, and retain them. Then act on what they tell you instead of harassing and intimidating them.

Clear out all VP.s, Directors & Managers (To include the Non U.S. Citizen NDL Manager) in the Military Division and start all over again. This will help support our Veterans,Guard & Reserve Members and Active Duty Members. Management needs to look into the mirror and stop trying to "Buy" their way on to Military Bases in the name of education. Nothing will change until you clean house!!!You are there to support the Troops not to lie, cheat & steal funds from them!!!!

Leadership has been and will continue to be shortsighted when it concerns substantive change at this school. This group of shameless profiteers care only about their bonuses, and could care less about the students and their employees. They are a reactive group, always a wet finger held up, trying to determine the political winds, so they can stay just one step ahead of the DOE and the HLC. They are merely riding our the Obama Administration, waiting to to slide back to their overt 'boiler room' tactics in recruitment of students. If they want to survive, they should fire all senior leadership, hire people who know something about higher education, and concentrate on entrance standards and genuine learning outcomes. This could be done, but the people in Phoenix and at some campuses believe that a college degree should be had by everyone, everyone who can get her mitts on Title IV funds. UOP stock will plummet later this year and next(to $15.00 a share) and most likely never recover again. Despite this school's hiring of ex-military people for senior leadership positions, the VA is poised to rein in for-profit graft. The 90/10 rule should include VA funding. If this happens, and it will most likely be a budget compromise in a Republican Congress in 2015, for-profits will never recover. Too late UOP--the game is almost over. Your greed and stupidity will be your undoing.
