Keep dreaming, the management making over 100K will stay. They are part of the old boys club at the top. They will tell you they are "irreplaceable". It's BS but they scratch each others back.

First off the name is going to be KKR next week! Everyone at 100K plus jobs will be fired! New people brought in to unf@*K everything that the current brass has screwed up over the last few years. I look for them to settle the 10 or 15 lawsuits that are in the billions and then start re-branding schools. What is a Brown Mackie? sounds like a crap that went bad. What about South? South of what, the border! The whole business needs to be overhauled. Keep in mind I said business and not school.

Here is what former students think about The Art Institute. Not exactly rainbows and unicorns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmQPKKpuG2c

TRUTH - Giving us more rainbows and unicorns I see. You must be blind, if you read between the lines, most of the articles have a negative outlook for EDMC. The one thing you are right about is that things have change. Unfortunately, not in your favor. For-Profit education across the board has a negative connotation these days. Just ask any kid in high school who has just started to look into college. I just saw a commercial for a college trying to recruit x-military and they made it a point to mention right up front that the schools is NON-Profit. That is not a coincidence. You can bet the advertizing agency that did the commercial did research and figured out that their audience now sees that as a more positive place to go than a For-Profit school. Something that the students now pay attention to. Something that EDMC can never be.

I've seen zero credible news sources even remotely imply that EDMC will close. They are just reporting that creditors want to take ownership, which may not be bad. What everyone fails to remember is that EDMC has been shrouded in bad press for years. Additionally, education is changing across the board. EDMC will adjust to new laws as they arise. In fact, it's safe to assume that for-profit schools will only grow in size and market share in the years ahead. EDMC is safe. Most of the employees are safe. And most importantly, the haters can talk about how bad edmf is for years and years and o come!

News articles from multiple sources and respectable business organization is not propaganda. The only one who has skin in the game to use propaganda is EDMC. Their propaganda for the last there years has been, "nothing to look at here folks, go back to work". Also, checks in the mail.

You have no basis trying to paint a picture of rainbows and unicorns implying that EDMC is too big to fail. It's not about haters, it just the facts. Dozens of law suites, Government investigations, defaulting on a 1 billion to its creditors, declining enrollment, negative publicity, loss of brand identity, 3 straight years of profit lose with no end in sight and stricter regulations. Larger "too big to fail" companies have gone down. Remember Enron? Delta? Global Crossing? IndyMac? World Com? WaMu? It's not that rare.

Very few of us are hoping this works out. We need our jobs. The rest of the negative people on here will collect their unemployment then bitch about not being able to find new jobs.

The analogy you make is comedic. Realistically, EDMC will not close. In fact, the likelihood of it closing more closely aligns with the probability of winning the lottery. I don't dispute that there will likely be large changes and extensive layoffs. But EDMC, as a company, is going nowhere. That's the great paradoy of this site, and in particular, the "hater" posters who want to "see EDMC burn" and "stomp on their grave.". They will not see that day. It will not happen. Do not believe the paranoia and propaganda.

Anything is possible. You could win the lottery tomorrow too, that's also possible but I would not bet the house on it. Someone will win, but most will lose.
