Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

The reason CCi is closing is lack of cash.

This idea of having sufficient cash to survive a total and complete teach-out is crazy. Teach-outs are always at a loss, and CCi has no money. And there is no cash to sell itself.

Not sure what you imagine a teach out to be. But there will only be instructors, hopefully security, the Dean (if he or she sticks around), an FA person and maybe one or 2 other people. Everyone else will be let go. I was involved in a teach out at a different for profit. By the end it was 2 instructors, 12 students, 2 cleaning people, and the dean on occasion. That was all. They won't have any staff beyond what they need.

They won't teach out all of their schools. They may keep a few big campuses open. They will get FA for remaining students. But they'll go to a skeleton crew ( instructors and a manager or two) and when crap breaks it won't get fixed. They'll do what Anthem did and try to get other for profits to take students. Eventually ever student will quit before they finish anyway.
