Someone suggested that I check this board out to get more information on what is going on with the company, etc. I have yet to read any concrete, valuable information. This is basically a board full of commentary by bottom of the barrel employees, or former employees, that any company would like to get rid of, or be ecstatic if they leave. Most of the commentators here talk about Corinthian Colleges serving the most unmotivated, lowest IQ students, but my thinking is that they hire the most unmotivated, lowest IQ staff to teach them, or at least they hired some with this description, and they post their babble against the company here, so as to further deceive themselves and stay in denial about their own incompetence and failure to bring value to this company. That is what I'm getting from this forum. It would be great to hear something valuable and true here.

717 how would you like to teach an adult how to divide and multiply while teaching other students how do lengthy math formulas? Let's see, 1st we do get paid to teach NOT BABYSIT. 2nd if we had a comprehensive entrance exam. We can sift thru which students can handle the rigors of post secondary schooling. This way we don't have to go over the information they should have learned in grade school.

@417 and 418. Exactly. The OP is one of the Kool-aid drinking upper management. They have no sense of what faculty have to put up with. None whatsoever.
Faculty we hire are not the problem. They wanted to TEACH. Instead they are given students that would fail kindergarten and those that come because they heard it was a great way to supplement their welfare. These shiny new faculty are forced to email, call, text, and record these attempts into an unstable antiquated system
They are micromanaged by crazy PDs and PLs on the quantity of outreach and evaluated on attrition. Now you tell me, wouldn't you be angry at Everest for hiring you to babysit morons instead of teaching?
Random idiot students exist, but they are the majority at Everest. Most students with any ounce of intelligence go to real schools. Those that fail or want stipends come to Everest. In all my classes over the years, there are usually 1 or 2 in classes of 32 that are smart and there to learn. With the Outreach crap, we IGNORE these students and have no time for them. Instead we focus on trying to get the other 30 to grace us with their presence by posting one incomprehensible sentence in the discussion so we can count them as being active. It is a disgrace!! By the way, OUTREACH DOES NOT WORK!!!!!!!!!! It's a fricken waste of time.

I understand people come here to rant. But you're not doing yourselves any favors by pointing out the negatives, instead of noticing the positives, even if the positives are difficult to see. Some people like to point out how bad the students are, in an extremist way, but the truth is that it is really random. Every classroom has students of random potential. Some students have excellent potential and are willing to learn, and it's a shame when they are short changed by people who prefer to point out the bad students. If that's the attitude of the majority of employees, no wonder you're being sold at the lowest dollar and concerned about layoffs.
So ironic that the OP fell right into adding a lengthy paragraph of negativity and obviously felt the need to elevate their self by defining everyone else as worthless. And note that THEY had not one valuable or true thing to add either.
